Frequently asked questions
Questions and answers
Is MyNurseDesk free for nurses?
Yes. Browsing and saving jobs is free. A real employer will never ask you to pay to apply, and neither do we.
What happens when I tap Apply?
You go to the employer’s own careers page and apply there. We never see or store your application.
How do you check jobs?
We find each job on the employer’s own careers page, check the details by hand and only then list it. We look again regularly and mark old jobs as closed.
How often are new jobs added?
Every weekday. The newest jobs are always at the top of the jobs page.
How do I spot a fake job?
Be careful if someone asks for money, bank details, ID scans or a chat on a messaging app before an interview. Real hospitals use their own careers site and email domain. Report anything odd to us.
Which countries do you cover?
The USA, the UK, Canada and Australia. Each job shows which country’s nursing licence or registration you need.
Can international nurses apply?
Some employers sponsor international nurses and some do not. The job page says who can apply, and our country guides explain the main licensing steps.
Which licence do I need?
You need a licence or registration in the country, and sometimes the state or province, where the job is. Always check with the official regulator: NCSBN or the state board, NMC, the provincial regulator, or Ahpra.
Do I need an account?
No. You can browse jobs, read guides and save jobs in your browser without an account.
Do you share my details with employers?
No. You only share your details with an employer when you apply on their site.
How do I delete my data?
Email contact@mynursedesk.com and we will delete it within one month. See our Privacy Policy for more.
